Develop Your Dog Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions prior to booking. By placing a booking with Develop Your Dog you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.

Contract of Sale
Completion of the booking process and acceptance of the terms and conditions forms your contract with Develop Your Dog. The contract contains the final and entire agreement and understanding between the parties and is the complete and exclusive statement of its terms.  

Payment
Payment for all Develop Your Dog courses, pre-assessments and assessments must be made in advance. It is not possible to attend a course unless payment has been received.  I / we accept payment by [BACS, PayPal, or Stripe credit/debit card online]. Please note that it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that payments are made in full and on time. If you fail to pay in full within the specified time frames your booking will be automatically cancelled.
Cancellation and rescheduling 121s
All cancellations must be made by email to jill@developyourdog. No refunds or transfers will be given for cancellation, non-attendance at, or non-completion of, any training session or class by the client. Payment is non refundable, returnable or transferable. 121s may be rescheduled no later than 2 weeks prior to the date of the 121 session, after this it will class as a cancellation which is non refundable or transferable.

Injured dogs and bitches in season
Please do not bring a sick or injured dog or a bitch in seasons to class. I / We encourage you to still attend on your own as most of the learning can be done without the dog present.  

Course Content
Develop Your Dog reserves the right to change the content, timing, date, venue, tutors, presenters or assessors of the course. Develop Your Dog reserves the right to cancel a course up to and including the date of the course and will strive to give as much notice of this as possible. Individuals booked onto a cancelled course will be given the option of a full refund or taking a place on an alternative or re-scheduled course date. Develop Your Dog will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course or cancellations.      

Intellectual Property
Develop Your Dog remains the owner of all intellectual property in course materials. [For educational purposes some course content may use intellectual property belonging to The Gundog Trust this will be identified during the course and will remain the property of The Gundog Trust.] Course materials are supplied only for your personal use.  No part of the materials may be copied, recorded or reproduced without the permission of Develop Your Dog.      

Data Protection
Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. I / We will use the information to process your booking, to provide the course and to inform you about similar courses that we provide, unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Any personal data you provide may be held on computer files.  

Dogs
Develop Your Dog and any venue at which a Develop Your Dog course is held will not be held responsible for dogs being kept in vehicles in car parks, or harm incurred to any dog(s), as a result of being left unattended in vehicles at any of our courses. Anyone bringing a dog(s) to any Develop Your Dog event is responsible for that dog(s) and its welfare at all times. Develop Your Dog accepts no responsibility for any dog or its welfare at any Develop Your Dog activity.

Classes

The following policies are in the interests of all participants and their dogs and by registering for a class with Develop Your Dog you agree to the following:

• Keep your dog close to you and under control at all times.
• Dogs are to be kept on a lead unless instructed otherwise during a training exercise.
• Please contact us before enrolling if your dog has aggression issues. Dogs that have aggression and fear concerns will need one on one intervention before enrolling in a group class environment.
• Do not allow your dog to approach other dogs. Despite the need for owners to socialise their dogs, a strange dog approaching a sensitive dog can cause them to show aggression as a defence strategy.
• Develop Your Dog has the right to remove a dog and owner from the class (without a refund) if they feel the dog’s behaviour is not managed adequately by the owner and is therefore putting the other participants at risk.
• Please encourage your dogs to relieve themselves before class. Should a dog relieve themselves before or during class, anywhere in or outside the training area, the owner will need to clean up and dispose of the waste in a suitable bin.
• All dogs should be fully protected by vaccination before attending classes.
  Harsh handling is strictly forbidden. If it continues after an initial warning, the dog and owner will be asked to leave (without a refund).
• The dog and any other person that is brought to class is the owner’s sole responsibility. Develop Your Dog cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to person or property that occurs while attending a class.

Children are welcome but they cannot attend on their own (without adult supervision) if under 18 years old.

One to ones
Please read the classes section above and in addition note that:
Should you be running late, please inform me / us of your delay if possible. It may still be feasible to run the session, although your session may not be extended beyond your booked slot.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Develop Your Dog may take photos or videos for social media, advertising or instructional use (which in some cases may be part of the learning event itself). If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos at all, please let us know at the beginning of an event.

Develop Your Dog reserves the right to unilaterally amend and update the above Terms and Conditions at any time.

By accessing the Develop Your Dog website, you are agreeing to be bound by these website Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
